Micro-Elements of Music Videos

"I'll Lie Here"is the song we have chosen to create our Music Video for; to complete this in the best way possible, we plan to use the Micro-Elements of Music Videos at most we can. These elements will assist our video to look professional and create the full effect the artist wants to present to the audience. We have decided to include a reaction shot near the end of the video, the Point of View shots will also be important in our Genre for the audience to establish the character/singer in the narrative and explain his story and what the Artist is singing about. In Acoustic Indie, I feel that Narrative is an important convention of this Genre, this is an additional Micro Element we will use.

The Micro Elements we are looking to use are-

Mise-en-Scene
+ Props
+ Costumes
+ Setting
+ High Key and Low Key Lighting
+ Positioning of characters and objects within the frame and colour

Sound
+ Ambient Sound
+ Diagetic
+ Non Diagetic

Editing
+ Transitions
+ Cross Cuts
+ Reaction Shots
+ Shot Reverse Shot/ 180 Rule
+ Lip Syncing
+ Cutting Rate

Camera
+ Point of View Shot
+ Close Up
+ Medium Shot
+ Master Shot
